RITE OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS SCHEDULE

RCIA Precatechumenate meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays throughout the year.
RCIA Candidates meet twice a month on Wednesdays from September until Pentecost.

See this years schedule at the bottom of this page ...

WANT TO BE A FULL MEMBER OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH?
NOW IS THE TIME!

The Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) prepares people to become full members of the Catholic Christian Community. The RCIA program meets every other Wednesday.  Interested adults gather to learn and discuss basics of the Catholic faith and the program is a supplement to those who had begun initiation into the Church years ago. Candidates will complete their Sacraments of Initiation and/or be Received into the Catholic Church at the Easter vigil.

Candidates can be:
1. Those who have never been baptized.
2. Those who have been baptized in another Christian faith.
3. Baptized Catholics who have not received the sacrament of Holy Eucharist (First Communion) or who have not been raised in the faith.

Those not ready yet for the full RCIA may participate in the Precatechumenate which meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7:30 – 8:30 P.M. in the school. This group will informally discuss topics related to the faith, based on the Sunday Scripture readings and how they might apply to our adult lives.

Come expand your relationship with the Lord through the Catholic faith! To register for these programs, or if you have questions, call Deacon Mike Karnoski at (708) 599-6691 or Email at DeaconMikeK@SLDMChurch.com.

HAVE YOU BEEN THINKING OF BECOMING CATHOLIC?
WANT TO GET TO KNOW US BETTER?

You are invited to participate in the Precatechumenate which meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 7:30 – 8:30 PM in the school. This group will informally discuss topics related to faith, based on the Sunday Scripture readings and the role faith plays in our adult lives.

Come explore the possibilities that await you as a Catholic Christian! If you are interested or have questions, email along with contact information to Ms. Lesley Widmer at Lesley@SLDMChurch.com or Deacon Mike Karnoski at DeaconMikeK@SLDMChurch.com.

ADULT CONFIRMATION

Have you been baptized into the Catholic Church, received your First Communion and are a practicing Catholic who has never made their Confirmation? Then, you are a candidate for the Adult Confirmation program.

Candidates will attend training at various centers - ours is in Vicariate V. Upon completion of the adult training, they will be Confirmed at a church in the Vicariate. See the following website for further information:

All Catechists …

[1] This rite takes place on the 1st Sunday of Lent. If the Rite of Election at the Cathedral is on the previous Sunday, this would occur on that day also.

[2] The Rite of Election (normally on the 1st Sunday of Lent) will be requested for the 2nd Sunday of Lent. Due to the large amount of candidates, several liturgies will be scheduled at Holy Name Cathedral. Verify the correct date and time for when our parish is scheduled and modify this calendar accordingly.
